Making Mock Tests Count: Learn from Every Mistake

A mock test is useful for more than checking your score. It helps you identify gaps in understanding, careless errors and problems with managing time.

After each test, review incorrect answers, skipped questions and answers you guessed correctly. Work out why each mistake happened: an unclear concept, a calculation error, a misread question or insufficient time. Record the lesson in a short error notebook.

Revise the relevant topic and attempt the question again without looking at the solution. Later, practise similar questions to check your understanding. Before the next mock test, choose one or two specific improvements to work on. Careful review makes every test a useful part of your preparation.
